Heaven has gained an angel. It is with a heavy heart and much sadness that we share with you that Michelle Tull Bynum passed away yesterday.
Michelle's sister Tiffany shared, "My sweet sister found her wings this morning and made it to heaven. She is at peace and we are too."
Surrounded by family and friends, Michelle lived her last days doing what she always preached, “eating life with a big spoon!” She danced with her father, loved her mother, shared meaningful conversations with her sister, kissed and held Brad and Reid, and laughed and joked with friends. She even took a walk to the hospital waiting room just so she could surprise everyone, amazing them once again with her fighting spirit.
As her mother, LaWann, expressed in one of her past emails, “Our sweet Michelle continues to not waste her cancer by making a difference for others.”
Michelle’s passionate message to all of us in one of her emails is even more meaningful today, “I send my prayers to all of you who are fighting this disease. I’m thankful you have allowed me to share my cancer with you over the past few months. Let’s keep fighting the fight because together we can and we will find a Cure!”
Michelle has passed her torch to each of us. With the memory of her remarkable courage, her tenacious will, and her fantastic smile, we will further ignite our fight for a cure and ensure that breast cancer services and support are provided to all who need us now.
